Refilling the Resin in your Water Softener
Follow these step-by-step instructions on how to refill and replace your resin in your water softener. These instructions are the same for all water softener models. NOTE: The resin is charged from the factory you do NOT need to add salt and do the regeneration process for its first use.

| Step A: Screw off the head. | ||
| Step B: Make sure to have a trash can nearby. Carefully, pull the filter out of the softener, and dispose of the resin according to federal and state regulations. | ||
| Step C: Dump the rest of the resin out of the tank. | ||
| Step D: Grab your resin refill, filter cap, lubricant, and funnel. | ||
| Step E: Place the filter back into the cleared water softener, and put the filter cap on the top opening of the filter. | ||
| Step F: Center the filter within the softener and place the funnel on top. | ||
| Step G: Carefully, cut open your bag of resin. Either scoop or pour the resin into the funnel. | ||
| Step H: Once all the resin is in the tank, remove funnel and the filter cap. | ||
| Step I: Apply lubricant to o-ring on head and around the filter in the tank. | ||
| Step J: Screw on the head and your water softener is ready to use! |
Always check for leaks, use thread tape or sealant, and make sure the top cap and hoses are tightened securely.
