The kit comes with one 10" x 2.5" 5 micron sediment cartridge and one 10" x 2.5" .5 micron carbon block cartridge. The multi-layered sediment filters traps larder particles in the outer layer and the smaller particles get trapped in the 1 micron inner layer.  The carbon block cartridge is highly effective at reducing unwanted bad taste and odor, and chlorine taste & odor, from potable drinking water. The unique structure of the carbon block enables it to reduce Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Entamoeba, and Toxoplasma cysts and fine sediment particles down to 0.5 microns. The carbon block cartridge features: 99.95% reduction of Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Entamoeba, and Toxoplasma cysts*, Premium high capacity bad taste & odor and chlorine taste & odor reduction*, and Enhanced dirt holding capacity.
